Neighborhoods Struggle with Urban Drilling Issues

The Barnett Shale Energy Education Council (BSEEC) launched its web site on Nov. 1, unveiling a key component in the organization’s plan to provide information to the public about natural gas drilling and production. “Urban drilling like this is a fairly new phenomenon,” said Ireland. “We want BSEEC membership to be the gold standard in business operations in the Barnett Shale. If someone calls up and asks about a company, we want to be able to tell them if the company they’re dealing with has a good record or not.”
