The Barnett Shale Energy Education Council (BSEEC) today released the results of its air quality testing project which showed there are no harmful levels of benzene and other compounds being emitted from natural gas sites tested in Fort Worth and Arlington City Council District 2.

Range Resources Corp. said Wednesday that it will immediately begin voluntarily disclosing the chemical additives it uses in hydraulic fracturing of new natural gas wells in the Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania, where the Fort Worth-based company is a leading producer.

Natural gas drilling in Fort Worth and Arlington isn't a major cause of air pollution, according to a study funded by a local industry group, the Star-Telegram reports.
