State tests provide reassurance to Dish residents
State officials have released the results of blood tests that should eliminate concerns about benzene among residents in Dish and the Barnett Shale region.
The tests, conducted by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), show that no resident tested had an elevated level of benzene in his or her blood or urine except for several smokers who were included in the sample, as cigarette smoke contains benzene.
