Alex Epstein’s "The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels"
As a society, we learn through education and the media that the use of fossil fuels is detrimental to our planet and ourselves. For years, environmentalists have advocated against the use of traditional fuels; however, over the years, the quality of our lives has greatly benefited from the use of fossil fuels.
Alex Epstein, president of the Center for Industrial Progress, made a case for fossil fuels in his recently released new book: “The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels.” He argues for the use of fossil fuels, claiming that the general public is only educated about the risks and side effects of fossil fuel usage, while the many benefits rarely get mentioned. Although these traditional fuels provide our world with an inexpensive and reliable source of energy, this information is rarely discussed, reported or taught, and people just believe what they hear as being the truth.
The fact remains: Fossil fuels have made the world a better and safer place. In his book, Epstein makes a strong case for our moral obligation to utilize fossil fuels to provide inexpensive energy that benefits our economy and our environment. “The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels” is available for purchase on Amazon.
In a recent article, Epstein also provides strong evidence that fossil fuels have not harmed the planet the way the media reports – that they have made the world a safer and more hospitable place. You can read the full article here.
