Movie “Haynesville” Screened in Dallas
The makers of the film “Haynesville: A Nation’s Hunt for an Energy Future” were in Dallas on April 28 at SMU for a screening of their recently updated and extended version.
The screening was followed by a panel consisting of Gregory Kallenberg, the Director of the film; Bernard Weinstein, Ph.D., Associate Director of the Maguire Energy Institute at SMU; Stephen Lindsey, Director of Government Relations, Quicksilver Resources; and Ed Ireland, Ph.D., Executive Director of the Barnett Shale Energy Education Council. Mark Bullard, the Producer of Haynesville, was the moderator.
After a successful international tour of the documentary “Haynesville: A Nation's Hunt for an Energy Future” including sold-out screenings in New York, Austin, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Boston, Atlanta and Europe the film was purchased by NBC/Universal and will aired on its CNBC network. “‘Haynesville’ provides a unique view into what it’s like to live through an energy boom and, in turn, what these resources could mean for our nation’s energy future,” said Gregory Kallenberg, the film’s director, “We are extremely excited to be working with CNBC to present the film and our take on a pathway to a clean energy future to a nationwide audience.”
